Women Deliver Conference in London!

Women Deliver is going to be a different kind of conference. We are marking the 20th anniversary of the global Safe Motherhood Initiative by bringing together experts and creative thinkers in not only maternal health and the major causes of maternal death but also human rights, gender, HIV and AIDS, education, micro-enterprise, sexual and reproductive health, including family planning, and more.

This broad, international women’s health and development community will make Women Deliver a vibrant demonstration of how health, gender equality, and development are inextricably linked. Women Deliver will present data and share evidence, including case studies, to document the contribution of women to national well-being. We will show how, with adequate funding and political support, programs and policies can deliver the promises the international community made during the International Conference on Population and Development +5 process and in the Millennium Development Goals and their targets.

For three days, more than 2,000 people, representing multiple sectors and programs worldwide, will deliver interactive workshops, presentations, and exhibits. Attendees will promote cross-cutting investments and partnerships with high level delegations from at least 30 countries, including parliamentarians, Ministers of Finance, Ministers of Planning, and civil society representatives.
