Any One of Us: Words from Prison


The students and others from New York Law School Domestic Violence Project, NYCLU and Legal Association for Women have coordinated a special event to support the work of WORTH.

Please come out on Thursday, February 11th from 7-9pm in the Events Center,185 West Broadway, 2nd floor to support and celebrate V-Day 2010! Any One of Us: Words from Prison is a testimony to how important telling one's story about the prison experience helps to change perception of women, our families and communities.

Calling all pro-choice New Yorkers! Please join us on Wednesday, January 27th for NARAL Pro-Choice New York’s Reproductive Health Act (Phone) Call to Action. January marks the start of New York’s legislative session and our goal is to pass the Reproductive Health Act this year! This critical bill will protect the fundamental right of a woman and her doctor to make private medical decisions here in New York State.

Call-in to kick-off the legislative session and the New Year by learning more about the Reproductive Health Act and what you can do to get it passed in 2010! We will go over everything included in the bill and share opportunities for all pro-choice New Yorkers – from Buffalo to Staten Island - to get involved.

KNOCKED UP: FEMINIST FILMMAKERS CELEBRATE ROE

Come celebrate the anniversary of Roe v. Wade with a screening of the films "Obvious Child" and "I Had an Abortion."

The screening will be followed by a discussion with the filmmakers along with organizers from NARAL Pro-Choice New York who will be talking about contemporary reproductive justice and strategizing for the future.
