TOGETHER WE WALK UNITED WE STAND FOR HEALTH CARE REFORM
Saturday, August 29, 2009
Women’s Walk for Health Reform begins at Roosevelt Hospital (10th Ave. at 59th St) at Noon. We will start walking at 12:30pm and converge with other walks for 2 pm rally in Times Square (7th Ave. at 42nd St)
Health care reform is finally within our grasp, but opponents are spending millions every day and spreading vicious lies to stop it. They want President Obama and Congressional leaders to cave on important reforms like the choice of a public option. We cannot let that happen!
Join hundreds of New Yorkers to walk and stand for historic health reform legislation now before Congress. We’ll also be sending off our local members of Congress as they return from their summer recess in September to “get the job done!”

Discussion: Jennifer Roesch “Fighting for Reproductive Freedom”
For decades, reproductive freedoms in the United States have been diminishing
and abortion providers attacked. The recent murder of Dr. George Tiller sadly
highlights the need for a re-invigorated pro-choice movement. Please join
Jennifer Roesch for a discussion about fighting back. Roesch is a regular
