July 29th - Young Women and Health Care Event in NYC
NARAL Pro-Choice New York and the National Institute for Reproductive Health present:
The Young and the Healthless: How Being Uninsured Affects Young Women
TUESDAY, JULY 29TH | 6:30 pm 8:30 pm
470 Park Avenue South, 7th Floor, New York, NY
With new statistics showing that young adults account for almost 30 percent of the nonelderly uninsured population, health care advocates must address what the impact is on a group of people who are still in their reproductive years and foregoing preventive care.
At this event, a team of young women who are addressing the issue at their respective organizations will present recently released data, tell stories of real women who are uninsured and how a new reproductive health free clinic in NYC is helping, and share how young advocates can get involved with the health care reform movement.
The following organizations will be represented through the speakers: NARAL Pro-Choice New York, National Institute for Reproductive Health, Raising Womens Voices for the Health Care We Need, Health Care for All New York, Reproductive Health Access Project, and the Womens Reproductive Health Free Clinic.
All are welcome, and summer interns are encouraged to attend.
Please RSVP by July 25th to pawatramani@prochoiceny.org
