Dec. 2nd - Get on the Bus to DC to Stop Stupak!
Rally for Health Care Reform: Join NLIRH on the Bus from NYC to DC, Dec. 2!

Bus leaves from NYC, arriving in DC for rally/press conference and lobbying
Women and Immigrants are being left on the sidelines of health care reform, join us to protect the health and rights of Latinas and their families!
Are you in the Tri-State area?
Join the National Latina Institute for Reproductive Health (NLIRH), along with other groups, in DC on Wednesday, December 2nd. We'll participate in a rally/press conference and lobby Congress to pass a health care reform bill that protects the health and rights of women and immigrants.
The trip is FREE OF CHARGE and we will provide snacks and drinks on the bus. The bus will leave as early as 6:00 am from NYC and we will return that night.

Phone Bank to Stop the Abortion Coverage Ban in Health Care Reform
Phone Banks at NARAL Pro-Choice NY this Tuesday and Thursday!
On Saturday, November 7th we watched as anti-choice politicians passed the Stupak-Pitts amendment to the health care reform bill, which will make it virtually impossible for private insurance companies that participate in the new system to offer abortion coverage to women. Now we need your help to stop the abortion coverage ban!
We will be calling pro-choice activists around the country urging them to contact their Senator(s) at this critical time. Join us for a phone bank:

NARAL Pro-Choice New York in partnership with co-sponsors Spence-Chapin and the LGBT Center’s Center Kids program present “Choices: Adoption” on Wednesday, November 18th. “Choices: Adoption” will highlight the work being done to ensure that all people have access to and are supported in the process of adoption.
Presenters will share the work they do to ensure that birth mothers are heard, that professionals are trained to include adoption when options counseling, that the socioeconomic factors underlying transracial adoption are discussed and that all individuals and families, regardless of race, sexual orientation and class are recruited as adoptive parents.
